Our project is located on the south coast of South Africa and the primary research focus is archaeology and modern human origins, though we also conduct research into geology, climate change, environmental change, and other fields. To date the main locality where or research has been focused is called Pinnacle Point – this is now a world-renowned location for modern human origins.
Our project has been in operation since 2000 and is widely published. Pinnacle Point is one of three sites currently being proposed as a World Heritage Site.
